~ ~ BDSM or Abuse? How to Tell the Difference! ~ ~

~ ~ With Lady M ~ ~

Are you new to the Scene? Have you been traumatized by a Dom(me) who claimed "This is the way BDSM is. It's my way or the highway. Get used to it!"
Have you been taken advantage of by an opportunist, a predator or worse, an abuser? How do you know?
What is the difference between Power Exchange and abusive Power and Control?

With a background in behavioral counseling, education and research and experience as a community educator on the subject of Domestic Abuse,
Lady M will facilitate a discussion about the similarities and differences between BDSM and abuse
using the Power and Control wheel, red flags, safety planning and the documentary "Telling Amy´s Story."
This workshop is intended to offer insight into the nature of abusive behavior to safeguard those involved in BDSM relationships.

An RSVP to Mister Bill is REQUIRED to attend this workshop.

~ ~ AFTERWARDS! ~ ~

Also on Saturday, May 6, 2017

5:00 PM Until 8:00 PM

At the same location as the workshop, unless we go to a restaurant in Bethesda (see below)

You are welcome to remain at the house after the workshop to socialize and have dinner.
And where will dinner come from, with (we thought until recently) no suitable restaurant nearby that is large enough for all of us?
Actually, we will be looking into the possibility of reservations at the same restaurant in Bethesda
where DC Impact held its munch last Saturday, which is big enough for us.
Free parking in a public parking garage is available a couple of blocks away, and the restaurant is less than ten minutes from the house.
We'll see! If that doesn't pan out, options include carryout Chinese, pizza, or simply dispersing to small restaurants nearby.

~ ~ SO WHAT HAPPENS AT 8:00 PM? ~ ~

If you're a regular, you can probably guess. :) When you RSVP for the workshop, the RSVP acknowledgement will go into that.
